Origin of Name: Named for General John Lacey, who built the Ferrago Furnace, an a large iron forge in Bamber Lake which brought prosperity to the town.
Boundaries: Lacey Township is bordered on the east by the Barnegat Bay, north by Berkeley Township, south by Ocean Township the western border is dominated by pinelands.
