Lacey Township, New Jersey - Curbside Recycling

Commingled Products as described below may be mixed together and must be placed in a plastic or metal container no larger than a 32 gallon garbage can with serviceable handles and holes drilled at the bottom for drainage. Recycling stickers are available in the Municipal Clerk's office or the Department of Public Works.

You may not put any recyclables in plastic bags.
All containers must be rinsed clean.
Remove lids from cans and bottles and discard them in the trash.

GLASS BOTTLES, JARS AND CANS

Includes aluminum and other metal cans and are those containers that food & beverages come in.

DO NOT includes ceramic dishes, Pyrex, window glass, TV tubes and the like.

A plastic bottle is a container with the neck smaller than the container.

DO NOT include plastic jars or tubs or similar items.

Due to the Changes in Paper Recycling initiated by Ocean County, our Paper Recycling Procedures have changed. Please adhere to the information as described below for both curbside collection and for paper products that you bring into the Recycling Center.

Combine all paper products in a container no larger than 32 gallons. Containers must have a lid and carrying handles and the combined weight must not exceed 75 pounds. DO NOT tie or separate any papers, do not put any papers in plastic or paper bags and do not overfill any container. A new Recycling Label for your Paper Recycling Containers has been mailed with the Lacey Township Recycling Calendar. Please attach the label to your container as a reminder to you to recycle all paper products together and to distinguish this can from your trash can.

Newspaper, Mixed Paper/Office, Paper/Junk Mail, Corrugated Cardboard, Soft Cover/Paperback Books, Magazines, Catalogs, color inserts, envelopes (with or without cellophane windows), non-mettalic wrapping paper, real estate books, NCR and shredded paper. Empty Brown Paper Bags. All Paper Items and corrugated cardboard must be placed in the designated paper recycling container and left loose, not tied or in bags.

Hard Cover and Text Books, we can only recycle the inside pages. Tear off the hard covers and throw them away. Recycle the inside pages along with all the other paper.

Telephone Books (Place all telephone books in the labeled shelter at the Recycling Center)

We Cannot Accept:

Cereal Boxes, Pizza Boxes, Beverage Boxes, Plastic Bags, Paper Plates or Trash. Please make sure none of these items are included with any other paper items that you are bringing into the Recycling Center or placed at Curbside for Collection.
