On October 20th, please join the Lacey Historical Society at their 3rd Quarterly Meeting in welcoming Agnes Joan Negra as she discusses memoirs, letters and postcards received and collected from World War II.
Each night Ms. Negra would listen closely to Radio Berlin for Red Cross broadcast information involving American prisoners of war. She then shared this information with POW families by writing over 300 letters to which she received a myriad of grateful replies. Ms. Negra authored the book “Waves of Hope” based on her memories. Her book will be available for purchase.
All are invited to come and meet Ms. Negra at our General Meeting, Wednesday, October 20th, 7:00pm, at the Schoolhouse Museum, 126 South Main Street, (behind Mrs. Walker’s Ice Cream) Forked River.
