Municipal Court

The Municipal Court Office is located in the lower level of the Municipal Building.  The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over cases within their territorial jurisdiction, including violations of municipal ordinances, violations of motor vehicle and traffic laws, disorderly persons offenses, petty disorderly persons offenses and other non-indictable offenses except where exclusive jurisdiction is given to the Superior Court. Also included within this jurisdiction are violations of fish and game laws. 

COURT SESSIONS: Notice will indicate how your appearance will be conducted

VIRTUAL: Conducted via ZOOM

IN-PERSON: Your Personal Appearance is required in the Courtroom

MEDIATION

Matters will be conducted Virtual via Zoom 

Payments

The violation window is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If anyone is unable to make a payment at our violations window and does not want to mail in their payment, they are welcome to drop the payment in the drop-box, located outside, in front of the Municipal Building. 

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

Credit Cards are accepted for payment of traffic tickets and municipal complaints at the violations window ONLY. Cards Accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover

Record Requests

Records requests - for the Municipal Court only - A New Jersey Judiciary Records Request Form must be completed for any Municipal Court records being requested.  This form differs from the Open Public Records Act ("OPRA") form.  Forms are available for public download below.
